One of the best panoramic views of the coast you can get, an historic lighthouse at the end of a short, beautiful walk through the trees along a seaside cliff. The tower is open to visitors in the early afternoons, weather and volunteer staff permitting - we highly recommend going up and seeing the Fresnel lens!
We make a point of exploring the lighthouses along the coast. This charming, little light is easy to access - pull up and you're there.
A spectacular drive to an easy, short walking trail along the coast with beautiful ocean views and rock formations.
Everything antiques. If you see the sign "Barbra Streisand's dog peed here," you're in the right place.

One of Maine's many surprisingly great art museums, featuring many works by Andrew Wyeth and Louise Nevelson, two world-class artists who called Maine home, in the nearby town of Rockland.
A little further north, explore the contemporary art collection of Colby College, featuring a large collection of work by renowned painter and Maine resident Alex Katz.
A favorite hidden lunch place with great food and perfect scenery. You'll be very happy sitting on the dock drinking a beer and fantasizing about a house on the water.
The best and most famous lobster roll in Maine. There's often a line - try going during off-peak lunch hours. Absolutely worth it.
A local craft brewery and cozy spot for Chris's favorite local beer, Thirsty Botanist. Crackling fires, food and drinks, hideaway cabin feels.
Ice cream! A favorite of the many incredible family-run homemade shops found all over Maine.

You're gonna be driving around, and you're gonna want snacks. Go to a Hannford grocery store and get a bag of these Canadian-made chips that only come so far south of the border. The flavor is uniquely tasty and sassy. Just go try them.
